Rev. Dr. Bethany Fox loves experimenting with ways to bring more gifts and voices into church, and following the Spirit together to make our community into a place of deep belonging and transformation. Bethany’s preaching is warm, invitational, and rooted in real life. She weaves together Scripture, theology, and everyday stories in a way that feels like a shared conversation rather than a lecture. Her sermons make space for hard emotions like grief, doubt, and lament, while gently leading listeners toward hope. With a voice that is both pastoral and prophetic, she invites the congregation to see what God sees, feel what God feels, and take concrete steps toward living as God’s people in the world.

Her book Disability and the Way of Jesus: Holistic Healing in the Gospels and the Church (IVP Academic, 2019) examines how Jesus’ healing in the Gospels, too often used in ways that wound people with disabilities, might point a way toward real healing and mutual thriving. She is active in the 1001 New Worshiping Communities movement as a leader, instructor, and coach. She enjoys performing stand-up comedy around LA and connecting to God through the witness of God’s good creation.

She received her BA from UCLA in Philosophy and Russian Literature, MDiv from Columbia Theological Seminary, and PhD in Christian Ethics from Fuller Theological Seminary. She lives with her husband their two rescue dogs (Bob and Ziggy, father and son), and they enjoy making music together, going to trivia nights, and exploring all the fun neighborhoods around LA.

Andrew’s guiding philosophy at Covenant is to select music that spans different eras and styles. Music and the Church have been inseparably intertwined for milleniums, and he believes music can connect us to all who have worshipped before us, and those who worship today. He’s always open to hearing your requests and recommendations, and collaborates with folks in our community with musical gifts to share.

In his other work and free time, Andrew plays piano and piano shaped objects. Focusing on experimental music, he has premiered works by Matt Sargent, Kyle Gann, Ted Hearne, Pamela Madsen, and Ben Richter. In 2021 he was chosen as a Piano Spheres Emerging Artist, and has performed across the United States and some parts of Europe.

Andrew is also a founding member of the new-music piano trio House on Fire, which focuses on commissioning new works for unorthodox instrumentations. Their latest album Dissolution Seedlings was released in 2025 on Sawyer Editions, and the group performs regularly across Southern California. Andrew attended the University of California, Irvine (BMus, 2017), and the California Institute of the Arts (MFA, 2019). His primary teachers have been Nina Scolnik and Vicki Ray. Andrew is currently on staff at Moorpark College, CSUDH, YOLA, and the National Children’s Chorus.

If you know Covenant Presbyterian Church, you know Michelle! Michelle has been working in the Church Office since 1994, and has been such a gift to the Covenant community. In her decades of service to Covenant Michelle has developed life-long relationships not only with church members but also with countless community groups, including the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, AYSO, Westchester Mental Health Guild, Westchester YMCA, and so many more.

A Southern California native, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola Marymount University. She and her husband Jon raised their two children in Westchester (even sending them to Covenant Preschool). When she’s not running the church or finding the answer, Michelle loves spending time with her three grandchildren, playing Wordle, and watching British TV.

As our Maintenance Supervisor, Aldo takes great pride in keeping Covenant Presbyterian Church and our preschool in top shape—whether that means making sure our sanctuary and classrooms are looking good, sprucing up the grounds, or making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. He loves the satisfaction of making things look great and work well, not just for the building itself, but for the people who call this place home. Aldo’s kindness is evident to everyone he meets, with his warm smile and can-do attitude.

When he’s not busy keeping things in top shape around here, Aldo enjoys spending time with his beloved rescue dog, Bree-Bree, who brings him endless joy and companionship. He’s also a big soccer fan and loves playing whenever he gets the chance. Whether he’s on the field, watching from the sidelines, or working hard at the church, Aldo brings the same energy and dedication to everything he does. We’re so grateful for all the ways he helps make Covenant a welcoming, well-cared-for place for everyone!

Kirsten is a transplant from the coast of Oregon to Southern California after attending Montana State University. She resides in Westchester with her husband, two wonderful children (both of whom attended Covenant Preschool), and their furry family: a mutt named Bullseye and three kitties. As a family, they relish the great outdoors, embark on travels, engage in various sports, and share countless laughs.

Teaching, a second career that organically blossomed after starting her family and delving into children’s development and educational methodologies, has been her passion for the past ten years. Kirstin feels incredibly honored, blessed, and excited to embark on this new role at Covenant. Covenant Preschool stands as an enchanting realm within our cherished community of Westchester.
